Rules for Two Net Best Ball Format
General Instructions
Your golf bag will be on your cart when you arrive. Look for the cart with your name and starting hole listed on it. Player number one will have the official scorecard on his or her cart. Snack bags will be on your cart and food will be served throughout the afternoon at the hospitality tent. Bi-Mart will take care of any beverage or snack needs you want from the beverage cart on the course, however, players are responsible for any purchases made in the clubhouse. The course will have coolers stationed every three holes with cold, complimentary beverages for your refreshment.
U.S.G.A. Rules
The U.S.G.A. Rules of Golf will govern all competition, except for local rules of play and those regarding the Two-Ball Net Best Ball format. All putts must be holed out.
Two Net Best Ball
The scorekeeper for each team will write the gross score for each player on the official scorecard for each hole.
At the end of the round, turn the scorecard in to the BSGI staff at the Check-out station near the cart area.
If your ball goes out of bounds or you lose it, you have two minutes to find your ball. Tournament officials will total all scorecards and determine the two best net and gross scores for each hole for each team. Do not total your scorecard or take a players handicap off for any hole.
Tees
Men amateurs are to play from the Mens’ Blue Tees.
Women amateurs are to play from the Ladies’ White Tees.
Pink Ball
Each player must play the pink ball on the hole designated by the pink area on the scorecard. You must play the pink ball on all shots and putts through that hole. If you lose the ball during play, you are disqualified from the pink ball game. Please circle the hole on the scorecard where you lost your pink ball. If you hit your ball out of bounds or lose it, you have two minutes to find your ball.
