Richard Sanchez, Tenor  
 
Richard Sanchez, tenor, sang from an early age and completed his musical studies at Eastman School of Music, where he studied with the renowned Mezzo-Soprano Jan DeGaetani. Richard was a regular featured artist with the Aspen Summer Music Festival for several summers, performing such roles as Tamino in Mozart’s Magic Flute. Richard has appeared as a guest artist with Houston Grand Opera’s Texas Opera theater and Opera Omaha and made his debut with the Sarasota Opera in the role of Ruggero in Puccini’s LaRondine. Richard has become an audience favorite with the Utah Festival opera in Logan, Utah where he has performed the roles of Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca, Canio in I Pagliacci and, most recently, Don Jose in Carmen. Richard performed a premiere performance of Gomes’ Fosca with the Amato Opera in New York City in the role of Paolo where he has also performed the role of Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Boheme. Among his other roles are Riccardo in Ballo in Maschera and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. Richard lives in Boston with his wife, soprano Lisa-Anne Tamagini and son Richie.
