Carol Ann Manzi, Soprano  
 
Recipient of numerous honor and awards, the soprano has sung Mimi, Musetta, Magda, Leila, Liu, Rosalinda, Nedda, Perichole, Cendrillon at Connecticut Opera, Opera Carolina, Santa Barbara Opera, Opera Theatre of Connecticut, Sarasota Opera, The Banff Festival. A graduate of the Yale School of Music, she has appeared in concert and recital for Sarasota Opera, Opera Maine, Toledo Opera, The Hartford Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony & Chorale and in Connecticut, Florida, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, and Vermont. Manzi has appeared twice at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall; she will make debuts with Greensboro Opera (2002/03) as Mimi and Oregon State University in Elijah; return engagements with Opera Carolina and The Hartford Symphony (Mahler’s 4th Symphony). A spokesperson and advocate for breast cancer, she speaks and performs internationally: Breast Cancer World Conference, Vancouver, BC, 200, Susan G. Komen Foundation commissioned work for SING FOR THE CURE, Charlotte, NC 2002 and for the Creative Center for Women with Cancer, New York City, 2002.
