Frederick Reeder received training for the classical stage at The Drama Studio in London,
England. His characterizations in the operas of Gilbert & Sullivan and other comic musical
and operatic roles have met with universal popular and critical success.
Reeder was recently seen in Pittsburgh Public Theatres performances of Pirates of
Penzance. He performs his popular Gilbert & Sullivan show with West Virginia Symphony
as well as Calgary Philharmonic in the coming season.
Recent performances include a return engagement of the Best of Gilbert & Sullivan to the
Richmond Symphony Orchestra with George Manahan conducting. He also has performed
The Mikado with Cleveland Opera and stage directed the Fantastics with Madison
Opera. In 1996-97 Reeder performed Baron Zeta in The Merry Widow with Madison
Opera, returned to Cleveland Opera to perform Ko-Ko in The Mikado and sang his
Gilbert and Sullivan show with the Memphis and Rockford Symphonies.
